Really is it that hard?

I cannot figure out how to put a picture in a post. I have tried and tried with no luck. It really makes me not want to blog because I can't figure it out. Maybe someday!

Matt started his new shift so he is now working 10p-6:30a. I sure miss him when he is gone and miss having someone to cuddle with. It's a good thing I have the dogs or I don't think I would ever get any sleep! At least I know they will protect me. Between them and the bat beside my bed I think I'm safe!

I am now 29 weeks pregnant! It is going by way too fast. Mattilyn is doing some weird things in my belly. Sometimes I think she is having a party in there! We can't wait to meet her. I so badly want to get a 3d ultrasound done so I can see her beautiful face but then again I don't want that suprise ruined when I see her for the first time. Matt and I spend a lot of time talking about her and what it will be like when she comes. We wonder what she will look like, whose eyes she will have, smile, hair, ears, nose. We wonder what her personality will be like. Matt loves to read to her.

We start our child birth classes next week. I hope it doesn't scare me too bad!

Well that is all for now and maybe this weekend I will make another attempt at some pictures!

We love how Mattilyn's room is turning out!

I can't even begin to describe how much I love her room. I think it looks great and can't wait to get all of the finishing details done! We are still going to put a bookcase in there and we need to do pink curtains for the other window. We are also going to put a ceiling fan up. I thought I would try and post some pictures for you all to see. Oh and we are going to put some pictures above the changing table and that's why it looks so bare! I hope you guys like it as much as we do!

Doctor appointment and room updates

I went for my doctor appointment yesterday. Matt wasn't able to go with me so Natasha and Andrew were kind enough to go with me and sit through the hour I had to wait for the glucose test. The drink was not very good at all but luckily there wasn't much of it. It was just very sugary. Hopefully I will get the results today and will have passed. The last thing I want is to have to do that again! Mattilyn's heart rate was 138 which is the lowest it has been. She must have been relaxing! I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks and then we start our appointments every 2 weeks. It is so hard to believe that I am in the 3rd trimester and how fast things are going. It is exciting and scary all at the same time. I feel great! I tell people if I didn't feel her moving around in there I wouldn't really feel pregnant at all. Hopefully it will stay this way and I won't get huge!

The nursery is finally coming along. We have the walls painted and the circles are coming along. The goal for the weekend is to get it completed with the exception of maybe a few little details. I will post some pictures tonight of the progress we have made and hopefully this weekend I can post the finished project!

Matt and I are so excited to meet her!

Time is starting to go by quickly

I can't believe I am 25 weeks. Time seems to be going by so much faster now. We have a lot of stuff coming together and I think it will seem more real once those things start to get accomplished. We are having a friend come on Sunday to paint Mattie's room and after he gets done with the walls we can paint the circles and then start putting it the bed together and figuring out how we want to arrange the furniture. So exciting! I think once this gets done it will really start to feel real. On another baby note, we signed up for our childbirth preparation class. Hopefully this doesn't scare me more than I already am!!!

Matt finally got to feel Mattie kick on Saturday morning as we were being lazy in bed. It was so awesome and of course I cried!! Matt just had a big grin on his face. Matt got to feel her again last night when we were watching tv. My mom also got to feel her moving around last night. It is just amazing!

In Matt news, he finally got told what his shift will be. He will be working 3rd which of course wouldn't be our first choice but it is much better than him working 2nd and us never being able to spend time as a family. We are thankful he has a stable job and benefits and our 2nd choice of shifts.
